Hot Cocoa Popcorn

Are you looking for a unique treat for your Christmas get together? I have one that might just be perfect!

What You’ll Need…

10-12 Cups Popped Popcorn
3-4 Tablespoons Butter (Melted)
¼ - ½ Cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
½ Cup Powdered Sugar
1 Teaspoon Cinnamon (Optional)
Marshmallows

Start out by popping your popcorn, in the microwave or on the stove, depending on what type of popping corn you are using.

Melt the butter, and if you are using cinnamon add it to the butter.

Pour the butter over the popcorn and toss so that all of the popcorn is coated.

Place the popcorn in a zip top bag, two batches may be easiest, and add the cocoa powder and powdered sugar.

Seal and then shake the bag to distribute cocoa and sugar.

Add in the marshmallows, shake or mix to distribute.

Enjoy!

Whole Berry Cranberry Sauce

We have a delicious cranberry sauce recipe for you, and just in time for Thanksgiving!

What You’ll Need…

1 12oz Bag of Fresh Cranberries
1 Cup Orange Juice
2/3 Cup Sugar

Add all of the ingredients to a pot and stir before turning to heat on to medium. This sauce will be slightly tart, if you prefer a sweeter sauce add more sugar.

Allow the cranberries to cook until they have burst and are soft – this takes about 20-25 minutes. Stir, about every five minutes.

Once the sauce has cooked down turn off the heat, stir and set serve or set aside for later.

Grilled Meatloaf

The last two months were crazy and crazy busy. I have some “spare” time now these days which means I will hopefully be able to regularly share delicious eats with you all again.

This week I have a twist on traditional recipe and it is awesome.

What You’ll Need…

2lbs Ground Meat
1 Egg
½ - ¾ Cup Oats (Or cornmeal/bread crumbs/other binder)
½ Teaspoon Season Salt
½ Teaspoon Garlic Powder
½ Cup Barbecue Sauce

Add all of the ingredients to a mixing bowl and combine using your hands to mix.

Divide the meat mixture in half and place each half on a greased piece of foil.

Press the meat mixture out until it is about ½ inch thick.

Wrap the foil around the meat completely.

Place the foil packets on the grill and allow to cook.

They should take about 15-35 minutes to cook, depending on your grill’s temperature flip the packets half way through.

Allow the meat to rest for about 5 minutes after removing it from the grill.

Slice, serve and enjoy!
