Quick Pasta Sauce

Hi again everyone, I finally have a new recipe for you! It’s perfect for pasta, for dipping bread in, for meatballs – it’s just overall delicious.

What You’ll Need

3lbs Roma Tomatoes (Chopped)
1 Bell Pepper (Diced)
½ Large Onion (Diced)
1 Carrot (Grated)
2 Ribs Celery with Leaves (Chopped)
5 Cloves Garlic (Minced)
½ Teaspoon Salt
2 Tablespoons Sugar
1 Teaspoon Basil
1 Tablespoon Herbes de Province
2 Tablespoons Olive Oil

Start out by washing, peeling, chopping and grating your fruit and veggies, after all both tomatoes and peppers are fruit.

Add the olive oil to a large pot and allow it to hear up over medium heat.

Once the oil is hot add the onions and garlic, stir, and allow them to cook for 1-2 minutes.

Add the peppers, celery and carrot next, stir, and allow everything to cook for 5 minutes.

Lastly, add the tomatoes and spices and stir everything to combine. Cover the pot and allow the sauce to cook over medium-high heat for 45 minutes, stirring every ten minutes.

After 45 place half of the sauce in a blender and liquefy it. Once the sauce has been blended return it to the pot with the remaining sauce and stir to combine it all.

Enjoy with your favorite pasta!
