Kale Chips

This week’s recipe is quick, simple, healthy, and delicious. Since trying these chips for the first time they have become my favorite side dish. As I mentioned, they are quick; the whole process, prep and bake time, only takes about 12 minutes. Kale is also super healthy and full of vitamins. Also, the popcorn like taste of these chips makes it so that they can be made as a snack. It is NHL playoff time… game time snack?

What You’ll Need…

2-4 Cups of Kale (About a quarter of a bag or the leaves of 4-5 stems.)
1-2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
Sea Salt or Table Salt (To taste)

Pre-heat your oven to 275.

Remove the stems from the leaves for both bagged and bulk kale. Once the leaves have been placed onto a baking sheet drizzle with olive oil and salt. Toss the kale to makes sure that all of the leaves are coated with oil to insure that the kale crisps. Makes sure that the kale is in a single later, if not it will wilt instead of crisping.

Bake at 275 for about ten minutes, this depends on your oven.  Flip the chips half way through the baking time.

Enjoy!
